
Two very lucky Canadian lottery players have reason to celebrate after becoming multimillionaires overnight.
The Lotto 6/49 draw took place on Wednesday, March 5, and the Gold Ball prize was worth $24 million. No one won the top prize; however, one person will soon walk away with a $1-million prize after they matched the White Ball prize winning number 74695245-04. According to PlayNow.com, the ticket was sold in Quebec.

There were several other big winners during Wednesday night’s draw.
The Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw numbers were 09, 11, 26, 36, 37, 42, and bonus 24, and two people matched all six winning numbers to win the top prize worth $5 million. The tickets were sold in Ontario, and each winner is now $2.5 million richer.
Two lottery players will also split the second prize after they matched five of the six winning numbers and the bonus number. The tickets were sold in Western Canada and Quebec, with each winner receiving $104,896.40.
The third prize will be split among 87 people, each receiving $1,012.60.
There were also 25 Guaranteed additional prizes, each worth $10,000. As for the winning tickets, three were sold in B.C., three in Western Canada, 11 in Ontario, seven in Quebec, and one in Atlantic Canada.

No one in B.C. won the Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw Extra prize worth $500,000. Similarly, in Ontario, no one won the $1-million Encore prize.
The last time someone won the jackpot was on Feb. 5, when a lottery player from Edmonton won the $30-million prize.
The next Lotto 6/49 draw is set for Saturday, March 8, and the Gold Ball prize is worth $26 million.
