‘Queen of Cringe’ Katy Perry can't stop gushing about Justin Trudeau
Justin Trudeau still has 41-year-old pop star girlfriend Katy Perry feeling like she’s living a Teenage Dream.
At a film screening in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, Perry couldn’t help but gush about her boyfriend, who just happens to be the former prime minister of Canada. No big deal.
Perry was in the city for a special screening of her upcoming concert documentary, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour, Live from Paris — because are you even a pop star if you don’t have a concert film recapping your latest, massive world tour?
During a Q&A moderated by Billboard’s Tetris Kelly, Perry reflected on how life got considerably “cuter” after she met 54-year-old Trudeau.
“It was hard before July 28. And then it got pretty… it got cute. It got really cute,” she said.
Perry delivered the confession in a coy, almost schoolgirl-like manner, whispering about her tour stop in Canada where she spent time with Trudeau and was “floating like a butterfly on a butterfly.”
Whatever that means, Perry certainly seems to be floating pretty high these days. The singer has also embraced the title the internet bestowed on her: The Queen of Cringe.
“I am going to suck the f***ing juice out of every single one of these fruits in this life,” she exclaimed.

Perry and Trudeau have been spotted together a lot lately, whether it’s dancing in the aisles of Home Hardware in Montreal or simply on her TikTok page. If this is what got her the Queen of Cringe badge, then perhaps she should keep leaning into it, because the two seem quite happy together.
Perry and Trudeau have been dating since July 2025, after being spotted out for a romantic dinner at Le Violon in Montreal. They even took holiday photos together last December, which is a tell-tale sign that things are getting serious.
According to The Montreal Gazette, the former politician just bought a $4.26-million home in the city, so it looks like more dance nights at hardware stores are in their future.
