Jo Ann and Dwayne Granger, from Sturgeon County, Alta., opted for the lump-sum payment of their prize and said they were shocked when they realized they had won.

The Grangers bought their ticket at Reder Food Store, 106-80 McKenney Avenue in St. Albert. They won by matching all five numbers â 1, 6, 19, 25, 33 â in the Oct. 16 draw.
Players who match all five numbers but not the Grand Number can choose between $25,000 a year for life or a lump sum of $500,000.
