Canadian teens can get free GoodLife Fitness gym memberships this summer

GoodLife Fitness is making it easier for teens to stay active this summer with free access to its gyms across Canada.

On Tuesday, GoodLife Fitness announced that it’s bringing back its popular Teen Fitness program, which first launched in 2010 in an effort to help teens “build healthy habits.”

While pricing varies, a Premium membership costs around $40 bi-weekly; however, this program completely waives that fee for teens, giving young Canadians access to the gym throughout the summer.

The program runs from July 3 to Sept. 8, is available at nearly 200 locations nationwide, and is open to anyone between the ages of 12 and 17. Teens must be 17 upon registration date and the start date of the program. If they turn 18 after their registration and start date, they can still participate.

Teen Fitness members can use any GoodLife Fitness gym for free seven days a week during off-peak hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last check-in time is at 3 p.m.), and they can work out for a maximum of two hours a day.

They’ll have access to gym equipment, which includes machines, free weights, TRX suspension trainers, and Turf Zones, an on-demand digital workout catalogue on the GoodLife Fitness mobile app, as well as select in-person group fitness classes that must be booked in advance. Experts will also be available to give members a tour and help them get started.

Registration is now open and must be completed by a teen’s parent or guardian. Once registered, teens will receive access to the GoodLife Fitness app or a Membership Key Tag, which can be used starting on the first day of the program. Members must follow the dress code and wear proper indoor athletic footwear and comfortable exercise clothing.

“Summer 2025 was the Teen Fitness program’s most successful year ever,” said Tracy Matthews, senior vice president of experience and safety at GoodLife Fitness.

“We’re so excited to welcome teens back this summer and continue to build lifelong habits around health, wellness, and exercise.”
