Canadians looking to save big on shopping may want to wait for the return of Amazon Prime Day.
The e-commerce site’s major sale event is back this summer, running from June 23 to 26, with hundreds of thousands of deals exclusively for Amazon Prime members.
Starting at 12:01 a.m. PDT on June 23, members can take advantage of the Amazon Prime Day sale and get discounts of up to 40 per cent on clothing, beauty, kitchenware, home goods, electronics, and more.
“Whether you’re upgrading your tech, refreshing your wardrobe, stocking up on household essentials, or getting a head start on back-to-school shopping, Prime Day offers some of our lowest prices of the year so far across more than 35 categories,” explained the online retailer in a release.

Canadians can find big savings for top brands, including Dyson, Ninja, Philips, Lego, Shark, Levi’s, Adidas, and L’Oréal, plus new-to-Amazon brands like Bumble & Bumble, Bobbi Brown, Youth To The People, First Aid Beauty, Clarins, and Too Faced.
You can also support local, with great deals on Canadian brands and small businesses like Webber Naturals, Organika, Nutrience, Crump’s Naturals, DESIGNME, Blume, and Yupik. These brands are available through the Canada Showcase storefront.
Although the main event doesn’t start until June 23, Eva Lorenz, VP and country manager of Amazon Canada Stores, said that Canadian shoppers don’t have to wait until then for savings.
“With lead-up deals launching now and new ways to discover savings, we want every Prime member in Canada to feel like the countdown to Prime Day is just as rewarding as the event itself,” she stated in a release.
Lead-up deals are live now, with more sales dropping daily, including up to 50 per cent off select Amazon devices across Ring, Blink, eero, and Smart TVs with Alexa.
The e-commerce site advises shoppers to add items to their lists now to see which products go on sale, use Buy Again to find deals on items they purchase frequently, and set deal alerts in the Amazon Shopping app.
