An Ontario woman had to sleep on her huge lottery win before it really sank in.
Brampton resident Dorothy Bradbury’s Daily Keno 10 Pick resulted in a $250,000 win in the Oct. 7, 2025, evening draw.
The 70-year-old has been playing with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) for about 15 years and says Daily Keno is her favourite game.

OLG
She told the OLG that she likes choosing numbers that hold personal meaning, including her son’s birthday and her wedding anniversary. Those lucky lottery numbers led her to her first major win.
“My husband checked my ticket one morning and discovered the big win,” Bradbury recalled while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect her winnings. “He came to wake me up, saying, ‘Get up! We won!’ I initially went back to sleep for a bit because it didn’t fully sink in!”
So far, she has only shared the amazing news with one of her two sons.
“He was so happy!” she said with a smile.
Bradbury plans to use the lottery windfall to invest in some land and share a portion of it with family and friends.
“This win feels amazing,” she continued. “It gives us an opportunity to fulfill some of our dreams. We’d also like to donate to charity and the local church.”
She purchased the lucky lottery ticket at Southgate Smoke & Gift on Balmoral Drive in Brampton.
Don’t sleep on your lottery tickets. Someone in Canada hit the $1-million jackpot during Halloween weekend after a successful Lotto 6/49 draw.
While no one won the Lotto Max jackpot over the weekend, 28 people are splitting the third prize.
