If you’re a regular Costco Canada shopper, you might want to check your purchase history, as the retailer has announced a recall.

On Oct. 20, Costco Canada published a notice on its website, stating that Morris National Inc. is recalling a gift set. The company is recalling the Movie Night Gift Set, which contains a Lamontagne Milk Chocolate Bar (100 g) due to undeclared almonds.

“Most of the Movie Night Gift Sets contain the Lamontagne Milk Chocolate Bar,” reads the recall.

“The Gift Set is being recalled because some chocolate bars labelled as a Lamontagne Milk Chocolate Bar (100 g) are actually the Lamontagne Milk Chocolate with Almonds Bar (100 g). Because the presence of almonds is not declared on the chocolate bar label, the Gift Set is being recalled.”

Shoppers are urged not to serve, sell, or distribute the recalled product. Anyone with an allergy or sensitivity to almonds should avoid consuming it, as doing so could trigger a serious or life-threatening reaction.

“You may return the Movie Night Gift Set to a Costco warehouse to obtain a full refund,” reads the statement.

You can contact Morris National for more information at 1 (877) 667-9338.

The company states, “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask you to please pass this letter along to anyone to whom the Movie Night gift set may have been given.”

Costco Canada is also issuing full refunds for several recalled items, including Kevin’s Natural Foods Turkey Gravy and the Rossdown Meal Starters Black Garlic Chicken Breast Chunks.
