The pandemic ushered in a new era for employers and employees, showing that remote jobs are possible, and maybe even more practical for some workplaces.
However, since lockdown and COVID-19 restrictions were lifted in 2022, an increasing number of companies are moving from remote jobs to mandating a full return to the office.
Recently, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced that he’s mandating all Ontario Public Service Agency and Commission employees to work in-person, five days a week, starting in January 2026, much to the dismay of labour unions.
If you find yourself in a similar situation with your employer and aren’t ready to go back to commuting to the office, thankfully, there are plenty of companies that prioritize a flexible and “remote-first” work environment.
Here are companies that are always hiring for remote jobs in Canada.
