
Canadians who are looking to make easy money this year should definitely check if they’re eligible to cash in on settlements.
There are several with claim deadlines set for 2026, and others that could be approved this year.
From a $4.75-million drug settlement to a proposed $6.5-million plant-based milk recall class action, it’s worth taking some time out of your day to see if you’re eligible to claim any of these settlements.
Here are four class action settlements you should keep an eye on in 2026.
Canadian Armed Forces settlement

In January, the Federal Court certified a class action and approved a settlement for current or former CAF members who faced racial discrimination or racial harassment during military service.
The claims period for the $150-million settlementĀ opened on Oct. 15, 2025, and will close exactly a year later on Oct. 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PST.
The settlement covers anyone who has been or is currently enrolled as a CAF member starting from April 17, 1985, up to and including the settlement approval date of January 2025, who asserts that they have been subjected to racial discrimination and/or harassment.
Prescription drug settlement

Canadians affected by the prescription drug Rexulti could receive a share of a $4.75-million class-action lawsuit settlement.
TheĀ Consumer Law GroupĀ announced that on Nov. 12, the Superior Court of Quebec approved a Canada-wide class-action settlement of $4.75 million āthat will be used to pay compensation for persons that file valid, timely, and approved claims.ā
Eligible Canadians can sign up to be represented by the Consumer Law Group by filling out the claimĀ formĀ online before Aug. 1, 2026.
Proposed plant-based milk recall settlement

A settlement was reached in a class-action lawsuit in Canada last year following a deadly listeria outbreak linked to contaminated plant-based beverages.
Those eligible in Canada could soon claim compensation after the Superior Court of Quebec authorized the class action for settlement purposes on Nov. 17, 2025.
The lawsuit was filed by LPC Avocats on behalf of all Canadians who purchased or ingested Silk Canada or Great Value products that were part of the recall that wasĀ first announced on July 8, 2024. The lawsuit was filed against Danone Canada, Walmart Canada, and Intact Insurance Company.
The partiesĀ reached a $6.5-million settlement, 30 per cent of which will go towards covering administration expenses, class counsel fees, and applicable taxes, interest, and costs.
For now, the settlement is still pending approval, so you don’t have to do anything. The approval hearing is set to take place in Montreal on Jan. 26, 2026.
Proposed password manager settlement

Eligible Canadians could receive money from a proposed $4-million settlement in a class-action lawsuit filed against password manager LastPass.
LastPass is a password manager that creates and stores secure passwords. On Nov. 3, 2025, KND Complex Litigation and Hammerco Lawyers LLP issued a noticeĀ to inform Canadians who may be eligible to receive money from the class-action lawsuit against the company.
On Feb. 8, 2023, a lawsuit was filed against LastPass in the Supreme Court of British Columbia due to a security breach that was first reported by the company in August 2022. The class action was brought forward by plaintiff Karan Keswani, who sought damages due to the data breach.
The proposed settlement is pending approval by the court, and a hearing will be held on Feb. 18, 2026.
