Canada is a top bucket list travel destination for adventurers in the United Kingdom, according to a recent ranking by a travel agency.

Travelbag released its report on the most in-demand travel experiences for 2025, which includes a ranking of the most popular bucket list destinations.

The agency surveyed 1,000 Brits to reveal the top spots, and it may surprise Canadians to see that the Great White North took second place, sandwiched between Japan and Australia.

It’s easy to take all of the beautiful sights and sounds Canada has to offer for granted when you live here. From the Brits’ perspective, the Great White North is a bucket list travel destination for its “vast, unspoiled wilderness, from the peaks of the Rockies to the emerald lakes of Banff, and the showstopping Niagara Falls.”

The report states that 31 per cent of respondents included Canada on their travel bucket list, trailing behind Japan, which received 32 per cent of the votes.

Travelbag adds that the True North is an ideal location for nature lovers and adventurers.

“Canada sits at the top of Baby Boomers’ bucket lists, with more than a quarter (26 per cent) expressing the desire to visit,” reads the report.

Here’s the full ranking of top bucket list destinations:

  1. Japan: 32 per cent

Although Canada ranked high on that list, it fell lower when it came to Brits making moves to visit their travel bucket list destinations.

“While bucket list destinations capture the imagination, how many people are actually taking steps to turn these travel dreams into reality, and which destinations are they checking off their bucket list?” reads the report.
