Canadians can bling themselves out with a new coin that they can wear.

The Royal Canadian Mint recently released the Gold Maple Leaf (GML) Pendant. It features a 24K, 99.99 per cent pure gold GML coin at the heart of the pendant.

“Where Canadian minting heritage meets fine jewellery design, the GML Pendant is perfect for anyone who values quality, style and timeless elegance,” reads the Mint’s site.

The 18k pendant showcases Walter Ott’s iconic maple leaf design in the iconic 24K gold bullion coin, which the Mint says is a world-renowned investment piece.

It also features an adjustable gold chain with two jump rings, so you can wear it at 16, 17, or 18 inches.

The back of the pendant is open, allowing a view of the GML coin’s obverse.

“The 24K gold coin features the classic GML bullion design by Walter Ott, with a single sugar maple (Acer saccharum) leaf backed by vivid radial lines, and with the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Steven Rosati on the obverse,” reads the site.

If you’re hoping to wear it around your neck, it comes at an extravagant price.

The Mint is selling it for $2,299.95 on its site. Only 150 GML pendants with 2025-dated coins are available.

It’s certainly a statement and investment piece. This isn’t the only exorbitantly-priced coin Canada has unveiled.

Last year, the Mint introduced a diamond-shaped coin and a pure gold one adorned with a piece of real coral, both of which sold for staggering prices.
