An iconic cartoon character is now minted on a coin, and Canadians can add it to their collection.
The Royal Canadian Mint recently released a Snoopy — Fine Silver Coin that features an adorable illustration of the beloved comic strip character.
“In 2025, to mark the 75th anniversary of Peanuts, the Monnaie de Paris celebrates the famous gang of friends,” stated the Mint. “Snoopy is the main character of the collection and decides to cross the Atlantic Ocean to travel to France for his birthday.”
This comes amid the beagle’s resurging popularity thanks to social media, memes, and tons of merch featuring the dog.

The design
The 10 euro is made of 3/4 oz of 99.9 per cent pure silver. It features Snoopy wearing sunglasses, leaning nonchalantly against the coin’s edge.
He’s wearing a sweater embroidered with the name “Joe Cool” with a suitcase at his feet, standing in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. For those who don’t know, “Joe Cool” is one of Snoopy’s alter egos, where he pretends to be a college student.
His best friend, Woodstock, is also featured on the coin, flying near the Eiffel Tower surrounded by engravings of passport stamps.

The reverse of the coin features the Peanuts logo and Snoopy curled up on top of the 10 euro. The background is patterned with paw prints, and the top of the coin says “75th anniversary.”
Snoopy lovers who purchase the coin will receive it packed in a cute, custom, colourized sleeve of the iconic dog.
The international coin is manufactured in Paris for the Monnaie de Paris.
