The recall alert published by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) was for Krispy Kernels Foods, which has quite an extensive product lineup.
The specific item that was recalled was the Vitality line, which is a mixture of dried fruits, nuts, seeds, and yogurt chips. The product is available through InstaCart, Amazon and grocery stores like IGA.
According to the alert, the product was recalled due to undeclared peanuts. The specific size was the 185 g variant.
Depending on what part of Canada you’re in, Krispy Kernels Foods products are found in a variety of stores. Some of the brand’s popular items include a variety of flavoured nuts, like ketchup peanuts or smoked almonds.
Krispy Kernels also offers mixed packs of dried fruit and nuts and flavoured corn nuts.
The biggest retailer that has offered some products from the Krispy Kernels brand is Costco. Walmart also sells some Krispy Kernels products online.
On the West Coast, the products can primarily be found at gas stations like Petro Canada, TownPantry stores, and OnTheRun locations. In Ontario, they’re also found in gas stations and Circle K locations.
The products are more widely available in Quebec, where the brand is based, and can be found in stores like Metro and IGA.
Additionally, the Krispy Kernels products can be purchased online directly from Amazon Canada.
