New car AND home in store for Canadian lottery winner
A man from Airdrie, Alta., is $1,000,000 richer after buying a lucky scratch ticket during a quick stop at a gas station.
Gurpal Parmar was in disbelief when he scratched his $100 Ultimate scratch and win ticket that revealed he had just won $1,000,000.
“My hands were shaking, I felt like I needed to sit and have some water — I was in pure disbelief and had to pinch myself!” Parmar said when speaking to LottoSpot.
His first call after learning of his win was to his mom, saying that he made a video of himself checking the ticket to send to her, and then there were “happy tears.”Â

The lucky scratch ticket was purchased at a Mobil gas station in Olds, Alta.
Parmar already has some exciting plans for his winnings, including a new car, a house, as well as treating his family.
“My family and I have never taken a family vacation, so we’ll probably do that as well!”Â
