The Fright Festival and Calgary & Banff Ghost Tours are hosting a three-day Halloween festival this weekend to start the spooky party off early.
According to the YYC Fright Fest 2019 Facebook page, organizers believe that “Halloween needs to be a season…not a day! So we’re getting it started September 13 to 15 at Eau Claire Market.”

The market will feature vendors, photo ops, entertainment, and an excuse to break out this year’s Halloween costume early.
The event is free for all to attend, though a bit of cash in your pocket to spend at the vendors is never a bad idea.
While getting dressed up is always a recipe for an interesting night, there’s nothing more fun than dressing up your pets in adorable outfits — especially when there are prizes involved.
The YYC Fright Fest Pet Halloween Costume Contest and Parade will be held on Saturday, September 14, with registration starting at 4 pm and the parade being held at 5 pm sharp.
Donations will be accepted for Parachutes for Pets, which helps those four-legged friends who are most affected by unexpected emergencies.
The YYC Fright Fest will run from 5 to 9 pm on Friday, 1 to 9 pm on Saturday, and 1 to 5 pm on Sunday.
