Global restaurant chain known for its suancai fish is opening in Calgary

A popular Chinese restaurant chain, famed for its suancai fish, is opening its first Calgary location very soon.
Yonny, a global restaurant chain, is gearing up to open at 310 Centre St. SE, right in the heart of Calgary’s Chinatown.
The restaurant, which originated in China in 2017, has expanded to over 2,600 outposts around the world, and now, it’s finally made its way to YYC.

The fast-casual spot is primarily known for its suancai fish, a popular Sichuan dish featuring slices of fish, poached in a hot and sour broth. Fish isn’t the only thing on the menu, as Yonny also has plenty of stir-fries, dishes such as fried chicken, Mapo tofu, and so much more.
The Calgary outpost will be Yonny’s third in Canada, with locations in Vancouver and Richmond.
While Yonny hasn’t yet shared details for its opening, we’re excited to check out the new spot.
