TJX is now making face coverings mandatory in all of its brands’ locations.

The company, which owns retailers TJ Maxx, Winners, Marshalls, Sierra, and HomeSense, will be instituting the policy on Monday.

“Starting August 17, customers will be required to wear a face covering in all of our stores,” TJX wrote in an update. “Thank you for your cooperation.”

Exceptions will be made for young children and those with health conditions that prevent them from wearing the covering, the company said.

The measures are part of a broader initiative by the company that has limited fitting rooms, encouraged distancing, and instituted enhanced cleaning processes throughout its brands.
