Largest Wingstop restaurant in Canada opens in Chinook Centre this week
If you’re a fan of chicken wings, you’ll soon have another spot to check out in Calgary, with Wingstop opening its second location later this week.
The popular chicken chain is set to open its new location at CF Chinook Centre on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, giving Calgarians another place to grab its signature wings, tenders, and fries.
The new location comes hot on the heels of its first Calgary spot in Deerfoot Meadows, which opened back in June and brought the popular American chicken chain to the city.
It will be Wingstop’s largest location in Canada and will include a custom mural by local Calgary artist Sergey Ryutin, according to the shopping mall.

For those unfamiliar with Wingstop, the fast-casual spot is primarily known for its chicken wings, which can be served both bone-in and boneless, as well as its chicken tenders.
It offers 12 different wing flavours, with both wet and dry options depending on your preference. Each can be identified on its spiciness scale, ranging from no-spice options, such as honey garlic and sweet and tangy Hawaiian, to Wingstop’s heat-packed Atomic sauce with habanero pepper.
With high-profile chicken chains such as Chick-fil-A and Dave’s Hot Chicken making waves in the city, we’re expecting major hype for this opening next week. When the chain opened in Mississauga last year, customers were camped out for hours.
