Save time and have a fresh Christmas tree delivered right to your doorstep. A top Albertan supplier of Christmas trees, Mountain View offers a variety of species including balsam fir, BC Douglas fir, white pine, and Fraser fir. Each tree is primped and primed into the ideal Christmas tree shape, and multiple tree accessories are available to purchase with all orders.
Mountain View Christmas trees can also be purchased at the Okotoks Staples parking lot starting on November 26.

Each year, the Calgary Junior Forest Warden Society operates a designated lot for Christmas-tree hunters to cut down a wild, lodgepole pine tree. Located 45 minutes west of Calgary along Highway 66 at Powder Face Trail, the lot is open on weekends starting from November 28 until a week before Christmas. A $5 permit is required and sold on site with payment accepted in cash or cheque.

Available every year from November to the end of December, the Winter Wonderland Christmas Store at the Blue Grass Nursery is packed with sparkling Christmas decor, arrangements, trees, and more. Freshly cut Christmas trees arrive mid-November and range from five feet to a whopping 16 feet tall. A variety of unlit and pre-lit artificial trees are also in stock and come in different colours, shapes, and sizes.

The 31st Scout Group will operate its tree lot from November 30 until the third week of December (or until trees are sold out). Find the tree sales in the parking lot at the Holy Cross Anglican Church. Operation hours vary but the lot will be open daily from noon to 9 pm on Monday through Saturday and from noon to 6 pm on Sunday.

Your local Home Depot may not be the most festive place on the list for finding that freshly cut tree, but it is one of the most accessible! Home Depot offers both real and artificial trees to bring that holiday feel to your living room.
This aptly named organization runs three different Christmas tree lots throughout the holidays, and it’s open daily. Their website promises that trees are cut just 10 days before selling season, meaning that they’ll be nice and fresh throughout December.

This garden centre is getting its Christmas trees delivered fresh as of November 25, and will be selling them on a first come, first served basis. The centre is open from 9 am to 8 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 6 pm on weekends, meaning you’ll have ample time to pick our your perfect tree.

Head to the woods, literally, and cut down your own tree out in Alberta’s provincial wilderness. A permit is required from the Environment and Sustainable Resource Development and costs $5 (valid for 30 days). Bring your own sharp tools and at least a 4X4 vehicle with enough space to haul back your chosen tree.
