Domain host Webnames.ca is expanding its popular program launched to help small Canadian businesses impacted by the pandemic
CEO Cybele Negris launched the free .CA LiteSite initiative in spring 2020 to support small businesses, freelancers, and job seekers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Using the Webnames platform, people were able to create a free website to showcase their business, portfolio, or resume online in about an hour.
The program was so popular that Vancouver-based Webnames has made another 1000 websites available to Canadian small businesses and freelancers on a first-come-first-served basis. The LiteSite initiative package includes a .ca domain, a hosted website builder with mobile-friendly templates, a branded email ID, and HTTPS encryption on the website to keep you and your customers safe.

Business owners and freelancers can claim their free site by using this link and choosing the “Start Building” option to choose their domain name and get started. The limited-time offer is open to Canadians only and there is a limit of one free LiteSite per person.
Webnames is offering zero-cost for the first year with no payment info required for the initiative. At the end of the year, the users can renew if they wish at the standard price.
