Women Chefs & Restaurateurs hosting girl power conference in Calgary this fall

Women Chefs & Restaurateurs is putting on a one-day conference centred around the theme People, Passion and Purpose to bring together the best and brightest women in the food and beverage industry on September 16 in Calgary.

Conference events will include discussions and workshops guided by leaders in the culinary industry – from media to agriculture. Guests are invited socialize and indulge in drinks as well as tasty bites from local culinary talent while mingling with keynote speakers and visiting chefs.

Leaders include Chef Meeru Dhalwala (Co-Owner Viji’s and Rangoli), Chef Elizabeth Falkner (Chef/Author/Artist), Chef Nicole Gomes (Chef/Owner Nicole Gourmet, Owner Cluck and Cleaver), and Vintner Angela Maculan (President, Seminario Permanente Luigi Veronelli Italy).

This is only the second time US-based Women Chefs & Restaurants has hosted a conference north of the border, and it’s expected to draw around 300 delegates come September.

This organization aims to be an active resource for woman in all areas of food and beverage, help elevate their position, and build a strong community of industry peers.
