A dog outside of Edmonton had quite the adventure over the holiday break, finding itself stuck up a 50-foot-tall tree while chasing after a squirrel.

Parkland County, just west of Edmonton, posted to its Facebook account sharing that its Fire Services rescued Tigger, a two-year-old coonhound who got herself stuck in a 50-foot tree after chasing a squirrel at Wabamun Lake over the holidays.

The county also attached a photo of Tigger towering way up in the tree, standing on some branches and staring down at the photographer and firefighters on the ground.

The county added that dogs getting stuck in trees is quite rare; however, the fire crew happily rescued the friendly pup and brought her down to safety.

Tigger was also unsuccessful in her pursuit of the squirrel, with the post adding that it had evaded the pup. There’s always next time, Tigger!
