Via Cibo expands with second Calgary location

Toronto-based chain Via Cibo has expanded their presence in Calgary, opening their second location of this “Italian street food” concept.

The new Via Cibo is located in North-East Calgary, on Country Village Road in Coventry, and offers the same menu of upscale-casual pasta, pizza, salads, and specials as their other locations in Alberta, including their original Deerfoot Meadows location, which opened in 2014.

Gnoochi comes from the Italian word noccio, which means a knot of wood. It’s been a traditional type of Italian pasta since Ronan times. #viacibo

Diners can choose from popular eats like panino, Tuscan Fries (made with truffle oil, rosemary, sea salt, and shaved grana padano cheese), or their much-loved Prosciutto E Arugula pizza–hot out of their wood-fired oven. A signature item of Via Cibo is their “La Piadina,” the classic Italian portable street eat, consisting of a folded flatbread stuffed with your selection of fresh ingredients. Via Cibo’s own gelato will tempt dessert lovers, too.
