A new buchter is in town merging the traditionally loved with the modern day must haves.
Urban Butcher has already opened two locations this year with a third one on the way. You will find quality cuts of ethically and naturally raised local meats, including AAA Alberta beef, pasture raised pork, free range, free run and organic poultry products as well as pre-marinated items that are ready to cook.
There is also an assortment of house-made sauces and spreads such as a black olive tapenade, house made sauerkraut, mint chutney pesto, verde sauce and sundried tomato pesto.
”We’ve seen that Calgarians appreciate high-quality cuts skillfully prepared in-house by a master butcher and they enjoy the benefits of knowing that their meat is supplied by respected local and Canadian based ranchers,” said Operations Manager and Master Butcher, Bob Choquette. “We are excited about the opportunity to share this with Calgarians at an affordable price.”
In addition to the regular butcher shop essentials, Urban Butcher’s Chef Lancelot Monteiro – Chef at Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts and head chef of Cilantro on 17th Avenue – has created a great lineup of fresh and frozen prepared dishes for your next meal.
