90s kids, rejoice!

Trix cereal is making a comeback to store shelves across the country and it’s here to stay.

Trix first debuted the fruity shapes of delight in Canada in 94, and it quickly became a beloved and reliable source of morning energy — and sugar — for 90s kids everywhere.

While the beloved morning treat has been brought back to Canada for some limited runs in the last few years, this is the first time it will be back on shelves permanently since 2005.

And the return is in alignment with the 60th birthday of the iconic Trix Rabbit.

“Over the years, Trix has had a dedicated following with fans longing for their favourite cereal to return to their bowls. We heard them and are excited to bring back the iconic fruity shapes to add some joy to their breakfast,” said Fawad Farrukh an associate marketing director for General Mills Cereal Canada, in a release.

Bursting with fruity flavours like raspberry red, lemony lemon, orangey orange, wildberry blue, grapity purple, and watermelon, the cereal is filled with energizing bites.

“People loved Trix cereal in the 90s, and today we’re delighted to not only bring it back to them, but also introduce it to a whole new generation of Canadians,” Farrukh said.

The treat will be appearing on shelves in major retailers nationwide later this summer.
