Obama is best known for his stint as president of the United States of America between 2008 and 2016, serving eight years over two terms.
Prior to that gig, he had served a state senator in Illinois from 1997 to 2004. In the two years since he handed the presidency over to Donald Trump, Obama has been making speeches, appearing at rallies, making visits at non-profit organizations, and ordering the occasional ham and cheese sandwich with his pal Joe Biden.

The former president has also recently signed onto an agreement with Netflix, alongside his wife Michelle Obama, to produce and curate films and series, which they could potentially appear in.

Michelle has plans to visit Alberta this March as well, stopping in Edmonton on her Becoming: An Intimate Conversation with Michelle Obama tour, which will also be seen in Austin, Toronto, Atlanta, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and more.
Depending on the warmth of reception Obama receives when he lands in Calgary, we may even be able to add the visit to the list of heartfelt moments between the former politician and our country.
But we’ll just have to wait to find out.
