You can ski or snowboard at Mount Norquay for just $2 next week
If the only thing keeping you off the slopes is that new-found resolution to spend less money in 2018, we’ve got some good news for you.
Mount Norquay is offering a special day each month when you can go skiing or snowboarding for just $2. If you happen to scrounge up a bit more than a Toonie while coin-hunting in the couch, they’ll also be accepting cash donations that go towards local charities within the Bow Valley and Calgary area.

The next Toonie Day will be on Wednesday, January 10. If you happen to miss next week’s discount you can also swing by Mount Norquay for a few inexpensive runs on February 7, March 7, and April 11.
“[The Toonie Days are] our chance to give back to the ski community we love so much,” states the Mount Norquay website.
Conditions currently show a snow base of 96 cm, a year to date snowfall of 157 cm, and 24 cm of new snow in the past seven days.
All lifts are open, along with the tube park and 51 out of 60 runs.
Don’t have any wheels? If you can find a way out to Banff, there’s a shuttle service that runs from the Juniper Hotel all the way up to Mount Norquay – and it’s free!
It’s definitely not a bad way to spend a Wednesday, but just make sure you get there early in case anyone else somehow gets the same smart idea.
