Ticket details revealed for World Juniors in Alberta and they start at $40
Alberta hockey fans are chomping at the bit for the 2027 World Junior Championship to get underway, but watching in person won’t come cheap.
Hockey Canada announced Tuesday that individual tickets for the tournament — which is being hosted by Edmonton and Red Deer — will go on sale Friday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. MT, with prices starting at $40.
For fans looking to attend the entire tournament, the price varies considerably between the two cities.
A 14-game full-event package at Red Deer’s Marchant Crane Centrium ranges from $495 to $745 per seat. The package includes two pre-tournament games, all 10 Group B preliminary-round games, and two quarterfinals.

Things get considerably more expensive in Edmonton.
The 16-game full-event package at Rogers Place ranges from $1,107.60 to $2,707.60 per seat. The package includes all four of Canada’s preliminary-round games, two quarterfinals, both semifinals, and the bronze and gold medal games.
There are also eight-game Edmonton packages ranging from $553.80 to $1,353.80.

Along with ticket prices, the tournament pools were also revealed on Tuesday.
“In partnership with the IIHF and our incredible event partners, we are excited to unveil the schedule for the upcoming IIHF World Junior Championship that will be played on Canadian ice for the first time in two years,” said Dean McIntosh, senior vice-president of revenue, fan experience and community impact with Hockey Canada.
“With a new hockey season upon us and just over 90 days until the puck drops on Boxing Day, we look forward to fans from across Canada and around the world in coming to Edmonton and Red Deer to cheer on the best junior hockey players this holiday season.”
Canada will play in Group A alongside Czechia, Latvia, Switzerland and Norway, with those games taking place at Rogers Place.
Group B features Sweden, Finland, the United States, Slovakia and Germany, with those preliminary-round games being played in Red Deer.
Canada’s four preliminary-round games are scheduled for Edmonton, beginning with a Boxing Day matchup against Switzerland. The Canadians will then face Latvia, Norway and Czechia before the playoff round begins.
The 2027 World Juniors run from Dec. 26 through Jan. 5, with 29 games being played between Edmonton and Red Deer.
