Kick off the party at Sled Island

What: Sled Island, one of the coolest festivals in Calgary, is coming to town with international stars performing at several venues across the city. Visit Telus Spark

Learn something at the zoo

What: It’s never a bad day to learn more about Calgary’s cutest residents. Indulge your wildlife fascination at the Calgary Zoo, and keep your eyes peeled for their special exhibit, Washed Ashore. You’ll find giant sculptures of marine wildlife throughout the zoo, made entirely of debris collected from Pacific Ocean beaches. On now until mid-September.

If the weather isn’t cooperating, you can always enjoy a swim at the pool of your nearest leisure centre. Village Square Leisure Centre and Southland Leisure Centre are open daily and have everything from wave pools and rock climbing to gyms.
