New locally owned restaurant named after a Banff legend opens

Banff already has an impressive array of restaurants, and now a new locally owned restaurant has just opened in the mountain town, taking its name from a Banff legend.
The Boss Kitchen & Bar has just opened at 299 Banff Ave., offering a brand new spot to dine and take in the exceptional views of Banff National Park.
Named after The Boss, the iconic, roughly 300-kilogram grizzly bear, the restaurant stays true to its roots, offering a menu of local and globally inspired flavours and Canadian products.
Open for brunch, lunch, and dinner, the extensive menu has something for everyone, from shareables and pizza to soups, salads, noodles, and so much more.

Among its distinctly Canadian offerings is the Banff Burger, which is loaded with a Bison patty, Saskatoon berry chutney, garlic aioli, arugula, caramelized onions, tomato, pickle, and gouda, served on a brioche bun.
Of course, we’re in Alberta, so steak is on the menu, with premium Canadian Bison and Certified Angus Beef options, all of which have been aged for at least 28 days.
Diners can check out The Boss’s lounge bar and dining room and take in the stunning views of Banff Avenue and Cascade Mountain.
The Boss Kitchen & Bar will be open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
