$10 Date Night is back at Studio Bell starting on Valentine's Day

It’s time to lock down those big Valentine’s Day plans.

Studio Bell is bringing back its $10 Date Night events starting on Friday, February 14, making for an ideal Valentine’s Day party to start the weekend off right.

The National Music Centre’s (NMC) affordable date nights were first introduced to Calgarians a few summers ago but went on something of a hiatus over the holidays.

A full lineup of monthly (and musical) evenings have since been booked, kicking off with the after-hours event this February.

“We’re launching our $10 Date Night series on the most romantic day of the year,” said Jess Knights, NMC’s Manager of Education and Public Programs, in the release.

“Whether you’re celebrating with your sweetie or your buddy, this Date Night is going to be an extra special one. We’re also excited to expand our offerings throughout 2020 with a cash bar every month and a rotating roster of musicians and DJs, so look for something new every month.”

The date nights will run from 5 to 8 pm (though the Valentine’s Day event will go until 9 pm), allowing those who work office hours the chance to check out the building and all the interesting objects it contains.

Visitors will be able to explore interactive activities, Canadian music memorabilia, and a new temporary exhibit that celebrates many of Canada’s favourite musicians.

Those who attend the date night will also save 10% off food and drinks at the King Eddy (just show them your admission tickets), along with an optional public tour at an additional $7 each.

This year’s event will also feature ballroom dancing lessons inside Studio Bell’s second floor performance hall.
