Telus Spark is hosting a pumpkin catapult event this Halloween

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a… pumpkin?

Telus Spark is sending October’s favourite gourd sky high this Halloween for their Great Pumpkin Smash Event, which will feature everything from a reptile meet and greet to a pumpkin catapult.

According to the event’s website, attendees will be able to investigate the physics of catapults with the Okotoks Optimist Club by launching pumpkins into the sky.

The Telus Spark event will also include Ooey Gooey Live Science Shows with oozing and freezing pumpkins in some seriously spectacular science experiments, as well as a Reptile Meet and Greet thanks to the fine folks at the Calgary Reptile Parties.

The Great Pumpkin Smash will be held on Friday, October 30, from 10 am to 9 pm and on Saturday, October 31 from 10 am to 5 pm.

Those who dress in their best Halloween costumes will get 20% off Spark Store purchases — and will look great doing it.

Tickets are available at Telus Spark’s website for $26 for adults, with senior, child, and student discounts applying.
