Tate McRae one of the most Googled musicians by Canadians in 2024

It’s been a fire year for Calgary-born Tate McRae, and Google Canada says the singer was one of the most Googled musicians in the country.
The tech company revealed rankings of Canada’s 2024 Year in Search on Tuesday, and McRae cracked the top five most searched musicians.
Usher topped the list in Canada, followed by Kendrick Lamar, Justin Timberlake, our very own McRae in fourth place, and Sabrina Carpenter to round out the top five.

Since the “Greedy” singer released her latest album, she’s had a busy year. Earlier this year, she was interviewed by Vogue magazine, where she gave a shoutout to her hometown and its cold and dry climate.

We did a bit of a deeper dive into where Tate McRae was seeing some serious love by Canadians, peeping the top subregions and cities by searches in 2024.
When it came to subregions, the Northwest Territories led the pack, followed by Alberta and Saskatchewan, which rounded out the top three.

Based on cities’ interest over the past year, Okotoks took the cake, followed by Sherwood Park and Airdrie.
