Swoop Airlines releases summer schedule with YEG flights starting at $59

Flying from Alberta to BC is now possible for as low as $59 a flight.

Ultra-low-cost airline Swoop has recently announced its core pricing for Summer 2019, including details on its flights to and from its Edmonton hub.

The unbundled products and services offered by the airline makes it possible to travel without all the additional costs of checked or carry-on baggage, allowing for ridiculously low prices when compared to other airlines.

The core summer schedule shows consistent flights From Edmonton to Hamilton, Ontario; Abbotsford, British Columbia; Winnipeg, Manitoba; and Las Vegas, Nevada, with the cheapest being the route between Edmonton and Abbotsford.

“The schedule released today confirms our commitment to serving our core airports through the summer of 2019,” said Karen McIsaac, Senior Advisor of Communications at Swoop, in the release.

“Our ability to continue offering these routes substantiates our success and aids Swoop in acquiring the loyalty of our travellers in these markets.”

Swoop expects to release a full summer schedule within the coming months, according to the release, which will add new markets and increased frequency to the existing routes.

Flights from Edmonton to Abbotsford will operate on the daily at 12 times per week and will cost just $59 per flight — as long as you don’t purchase any of the additions, like priority boarding or checked luggage.

Flights from YEG out to Hamilton will operate 10 times a week starting at $139, to Winnipeg seven times a week at $69, and to Las Vegas seven days a week for as little as $99 per flight.
