Popular Asian dessert spot permanently closes its doors in Calgary

While the doors to one highly-anticipated sweet spot opened in Calgary this weekend, another’s closed.

SugarLips Sweet House only opened at 910 Centre Street N this past spring, but the business has already shut its doors.

Known for bringing Calgary its first taste of Bubble Tea Hot Pot, SugarLips also served up epic shaved ice creations and savoury eats too.

The owner shared a message with patrons explaining the decision to shut the doors, citing the need to focus on her other brand, JusFruit.

JusFruit has several locations in Calgary, Edmonton, and Saskatoon.

SugarLips’ last day of operation was December 8, 2020.
