The Greatest Outdoor Show in the world is finally here! Time to wear your finest plaid, step into those boots and be part of the wild, wild, west.
Here are things to do in Calgary with a Stampede twist.
Nashville North Calgary Stampede
This summer the Calgary Stampede is set to introduce Nashville Nights, “where the dust never settles at The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.” Entry into Nashville North is free with admission to the Calgary Stampede, July 7 – 16. Today’s feature artist on stage is ‘Chris Buck Band’.

Oxford Stomp
This year’s event dubbed ‘Can’t stop the Stomp’ will kick off with Serena Ryder followed by Canadian rock group Our Lady Peace. 80’s heartthrob Corey Hart will close out the show, coming out of retirement and playing his first show since 2014.

Grandstand Show, and Fireworks
Every night, the Evening Show starts with the GMC Rangeland Derby, which involves exciting chuckwagon races. When this portion of the event is over, a massive stage is towed in for the TransAlta Grandstand Show, featuring an eclectic mix of song, dance, and acrobatics. The evening’s affair concludes with a massive fireworks display over Stampede Park.

Free Concerts at the Coca-Cola Stage
This year’s lineup for the Coca-Cola Stage, the largest music venue at the Calgary Stampede, is chart-topping and award-winning. Tonight’s concert features Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals at 9pm

The Calgary Stampede Maker Market
While cruising the grounds check out this new Maker Market, located in the regular Stampede Market in the BMO Centre, and shop your favourite local artists and makers. Makers will rotate throughout the 10 days so be sure to stop in more than once!
