Sobeys Inc. has reported that another employee in Calgary has tested positive for coronavirus, this time in the Southwest region of the city.

The food retailer confirmed this employee had been working at #100, 2335 162 Avenue SW in Calgary

The last day the infected staff member was working at this location was April 12, 2020.

Sobeys outlines that after each case is reported, they ensure the store where the individual worked is deep cleaned and sanitized.

“Where required, we will communicate with customers who have shopped in the impacted location, with store signage, outlining our steps to manage the situation. Out of an abundance of caution, with each case that is reported, we will deep clean and sanitize the store location.”

The company also says it is working closely with public health officials to investigate the teammate’s known points of contact and recent shifts and will notify all teammates who require self-isolation for two weeks.

Earlier this week the company had reported an infected employee at the 20 McKenzie Towne Avenue SE Calgary location of Sobeys as well.

Sobeys has a public record of all the confirmed cases in its company across the country.
