It looks like some wintery weather is about to kick off in YYC once again today, as a snowfall warning is in effect for the City of Calgary.

According to Environment Canada, snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm is expected in some parts of the city.

The statement outlines that “snow, heavy at times is expected to start later this morning in the Rockies near the British Columbia border and move east towards the Saskatchewan border by the evening hours.”

“Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow.”

Snowfall amounts “may exceed 20 cm in some areas,” and it’s expected to taper off by later in the day on Tuesday.
