The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) has announced it’s suspending all classes until March 18.

The Calgary school also said it will be transitioning to online and alternate delivery of programs starting Thursday, March 19, until the end of the semester.

“Staff and faculty, in the short-term, will be working on this transition. Details will be provided to students as soon as possible.,” read the statement.

The school’s campuses will remain open in the meantime, as per the Government of Alberta and Alberta Health Services Chief Medical Office’s direction.

SAIT’s decision comes just one day after the University of Calgary announced it would be transitioning to online classes starting Monday, March 16.
