Sobeys Inc. has reported that two more employees in Calgary have tested positive for coronavirus.

The food retailer confirmed that an employee working at the Safeway at 850 Saddletowne Circle NE in Calgary has tested positive.

This staff member last worked on April 23.

A second Safeway employee at a different location in Calgary has tested positive as well. This staff member worked at the Safeway at 1632-14 Avenue NW in Calgary.

This staff member last worked on April 28.

Sobeys outlines that after each case is reported, they ensure the store where the individual worked is deep cleaned and sanitized.

“Where required, we will communicate with customers who have shopped in the impacted location, with store signage, outlining our steps to manage the situation. Out of an abundance of caution, with each case that is reported, we will deep clean and sanitize the store location.”

The company also says it is working closely with public health officials to investigate the teammate’s known points of contact and recent shifts and will notify all teammates who require self-isolation for two weeks.

Sobeys has a public record of all the confirmed cases in its company across the country.
