Canada's first water-rowing studio opens in Calgary

Ever wanted to take to the water – without getting wet? You’re in luck!

Canada’s first and largest dedicated water-rowing studio, Row 17, has opened in Calgary, offering the renowned group fitness program, Indo-Row.

The specialty rowing classes feature WaterFlyWheel rowing machines, that use water to mimic a boat gliding down a river, while creating a soothing wave-like sound.

As with rowing on water, resistance increases as your speed and intensity increase; you choose your own pace and enjoy the power of water – without getting wet.

Studio owners say classes work out 84% of overall muscle mass with little to no impact and suit every age and fitness level.
