17th Avenue is shutting down for The Roadblock Party this weekend

Pride weekend in Calgary is here! And restaurants are shutting down the street along 17th Avenue to celebrate the whole spectrum of flavours and fashions in the city.

Taking place between 2nd and 4th on Sunday, September 3rd, the Roadblock Party is promising a full day of food and beverage specials, pop-up markets, and live music.

Anju, for instance, will offering buck-a-shuck oysters, $5 Last Best Brewery beers, and complimentary hot dogs, while the Calcutta Cricket Club hosts DJs, a jewelry pop-up, and serves up free kati rolls along with $5 feature bevies.

Over at Buttermilk Fine Waffles, Heritage Coffee Roasting Co. and the Annex Ale Project will pop up in store while the restaurant serves up $5 tostada waffles and play Mario Kart and Twister on the patio.

At Model Milk, look forward to a pop up featuring Fieldstudy, Fond Boutique, and Understudy between 11 am to 4 pm, as well as complimentary smoked brisket sandwiches and $5 pints and cocktails.

Lastly, Pigeonhole hosts a Moth Chocolate pop-up while dishing out free arepas, and rosé by the glass for $5.
