A Calgary burger spot that has been a Beltline staple for a decade has just closed its doors.

Most people who spend time in the Beltline will know Re:Grub, easily identified by its large mural and eye-catching blue and yellow branding.

However, the spot, which is known for its enormous burgers and milkshakes, has officially closed the doors at its 625 11th Ave. SW location after 10 years in business.

“This was not an easy decision, but we truly believe we gave it our all,” the team said in an Instagram post.

However, despite the loss in the Beltline, the team assured it was not a goodbye as Re:Grub will still be operating at its Deerfoot City outpost.

Calgarians will still be able to get their hands on Re:Grub’s selection of over-the-top burger creations made using hand-pressed Canadian brisket patties. The spot also offers some truly wild milkshakes topped with cotton candy, cheesecake, and a number of sweet treats.

While we’re certainly sad to see the Beltline spot go, we’re thrilled that Re:Grub is not gone for good.
