A chance of rain is coming to Calgary this weekend

Some rain may be on its way for Calgary this weekend.

While we’ve miraculously seen sunny skies and warm days for the majority of weekends so far this fall, some rain clouds may put a damper on celebrations this long weekend, according to The Weather Network’s seven-day forecast.

It’s not all bad news, though, as this Friday is expected to see a mix of sun and clouds and a high of 17°C. When it comes to fall in Calgary, that is more than ideal.

Saturday is when the rain will likely fall, though The Weather Network clocks it at a 30% POP and just two to four mm — not necessarily enough to warrant a rain jacket, but it could very well put a damper on any early Thanksgiving dinners being hosted outdoors.

The cold won’t be a worry on Saturday at least, as the day is expected to see a high of 19°C.

Sunday is when temperatures begin to cool down, with a high of just 12°C that feels a little closer to 10°C. Anyone hosting an outdoor turkey dinner may want to wait until Monday, which warms up to a high of 13°C that actually feels like 13°C.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are all pegged for a mix of sun and clouds, while Monday brings mainly sunny skies, according to The Weather Network’s current predictions.

So while it may not be the stunningly blue skies and unseasonably warm days we’ve been seeing so far this month, it’s still much nicer out than the mess that was Fall 2019 — something that we should all be giving thanks for this weekend.
