Police believe Monday's fatal shooting to have been targeted attack

The Calgary Police Service has identified the victim of a fatal shooting in the Panorama Hills neighbourhood.

A release from CPS states that 38-year-old Roy Chi Yan Mac was the victim of what police believe to have been a targeted shooting.

The incident occurred at around 10:45 pm on Monday, December 17, on the 100 block of Panamount Villas NW, where Mac was found in critical condition.

Though he was rushed to the hospital, he would eventually succumb to his injuries on Tuesday morning.

Police have not yet discovered a motive behind the attack, though they state in the release that a suspect may have been in the Panorama Hills earlier that Monday.
