Get ready for some dill-licious news, Calgary! It’s official. Canada’s largest pickle festival will be making its way to Cowtown for the first time.

Picklefest – Food & Drink Festival will host its inaugural YYC event in fall 2026, and Calgarians will be able to celebrate all things pickled, fermented, and tangy.

Originating in Toronto, Picklefest has since expanded to Vancouver, attracting foodies, craft beverage lovers, and pickle enthusiasts alike with a day of pickle-based festivities.

As to what to expect in Calgary, the one-day festival will be packed to the brim with pickle-inspired eats from classic dill spears to pickle pizza, kimchi and sauerkraut, as well as pickle-infused cocktails, local craft beers, ciders and soft drinks.

There will also be a marketplace featuring small-batch makers, artisan producers, and local chefs showcasing impressive pickle-forward products.

“Picklefest isn’t just about pickles—it’s about celebrating creativity in food and drink & human connection, and Calgary’s thriving culinary community is the perfect place for us to bring this festival next,” says Adin Wener, owner of Picklefest – Food & Drink Festival.
