Canadian-owned pickleball sports club set to open its first Calgary-area location

A new pickleball facility is in the works just outside Calgary, adding more room to play one of Canada’s fastest-growing sports.
According to Pickleplex Social Club’s website, they are expanding and bringing a location right to Airdrie, marking their second Alberta location, and first in the Calgary area, with the first club opening its doors in Red Deer.
The new club, which will be located at 2649 Main St. S in Airdrie, will expand indoor court access for players in the region. It’s set to offer programming for players of all skill levels, from beginners to more experienced competitors.
The Airdrie location will offer “Pickleball 101” sessions, first-timer nights, and open play for newer players. More advanced players will also have access to open play sessions, leagues, and tournaments, along with men’s and women’s drop-in options.

Red Deer’s Pickleplex Social Club features nine pickleball courts, two private party rooms, and a pro shop for all your pickleball needs. Visitors can also choose from a variety of memberships, each with different perks.
