New Calgary restaurant offering gourmet sandwiches and hot dogs opens
A new Calgary-founded quick-service restaurant has just opened in the city.
Phillys has just opened its first location at 5475 Falsbridge Dr. NE, where it will be offering gourmet sandwiches, Philly cheesesteaks, specialty hot dogs and rice bowls, each taking inspiration from the street food culture of North America.
Glizzy lovers rejoice as the spot serves up six different loaded dogs, such as the Cowboy, which features a sausage wrapped in bacon, topped with caramelized onions, BBQ Sauce, cheddar, mayo, and spicy yellow mustard, or the Chicago Style, served with pickles, tomato, raw onion, relish, and banana pepper.
Alongside its hot dogs, diners will also be able to enjoy rice bowls, packed with toppings such as smoky chipotle steak, BBQ Southwest chicken, or grinders, Phillys’ subs available with an array of fillings.
“Phillys blends high-quality ingredients with bold, creative flavours ā offering guests something familiar yet exciting,” said Julian Carreto, operations lead for Phillys.
“Our goal is to make great food fast, without compromise. From our gourmet hot dogs and hearty grinders to our fresh, customizable rice bowls, thereās truly something for everyone.”
To celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, Nov. 8, Phillys will be offering a free classic hot dog for the first 100 customers, so mark your calendars.
While Calgary is home to Phillys’ first Canadian location, a second location has already been secured in Airdrie, and franchising is in development for more locations.
Phillys is open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
