Person of interest in custody following Evanston murders last Friday

The Calgary Police Service has released an update on the incident that took the lives of two people in Calgary.

On Friday, April 20, police were called to the 100 block of Evanscrest Manor NW in Calgary’s Evanston neighbourhood.

Once there, officers found two dead bodies in a vehicle, but no suspect in sight.

A recent update states that the Calgary Police Service has taken one person of interest into custody as of Sunday night, and are currently gathering more information related to the deaths of the two individuals.

Though the motive has not yet been determined, it is believed by police that the deaths were the result of a targeted homicide.
