Mission just got a new place to shop.
Located just off of 17th Avenue — and in the same space that Lululemon used to occupy before moving further south down 4th Street SW — Canadian performance denim company DUER has announced the opening of its third Calgary location.
The store is expected to open to the public on July 2, though will begin with by-appointment shopping only, given the current COVID-19 pandemic.

“Expanding into Calgary has been on our radar for a couple of years,” said Founder Gary Lenett in the release.
“Although opening a new retail location in the current climate isn’t a simple task, it hasn’t clouded our enthusiasm.”
The Calgary store will feature DUERs indoor playground that allows would-be wearers to try out the stretch and feel of their products.
First seen in Vancouver, the brand has big aspirations to expand both for brick and mortar stores and for its wholesale business, with products seen in 600 stores worldwide, according to the release.
“Prior to the pandemic, our focus was on growing our retail business and we had a few markets in mind,” said Lenett in the release.
“We’re optimistic that after our Calgary store opens its doors, we’ll resume discussions of plans to expand south of the border.
Those hoping to book an appointment at Calgary’s newest location can do so through DUER’s website.
